Misty Moorings

Return to Misty Moorings Dispatch 2

This is a day of inspecting the USFS cabins north of Yes Bay Lodge. A USFS Ranger was commenting to a friend at Yes Bay that he would be doing all the inspections by himself today since his helper called in ill. You simply asked if you could ride along and help him with the inspections. Well it's called "YES" bay for a reason ... buckle up! We start out at the dock at the Yes Bay Lodge, then begin flying to the cabins one by one. At each cabin, we need to make sure the supplies listed for the cabin are in place, for those cabins where people are lodging, this is a good time to say "hello" and make sure they are OK. When done with each cabin inspection, move on to the next one on the route.

Start at Yes Bay Lodge, Final Destination Yes Bay Lodge with ten stops between.

The mission begins at Yes Bay Lodge's dock. Be sure to enable changes to the mission.  You need room for four passengers and their stuff.

Navigation

Follow the compass, arrows, and GPS. Altitude is at your discretion.

If you receive an error message about the GPS engine when loading the mission, you'll need to load the flightplan yourself before taking off. The route has been programmed into the GPS (press SHIFT+3 to display/hide).  Follow the compass and pointers to each destination.  There is no hurry, you can stay at each location as long as you want.  No time limits.  When you're ready to go, just taxi away from the dock and the mission will resume.

This page is also on your kneeboard.

Pull up to each cabin, and stop at the dock to load/unload passengers or cargo. Leave the dock to continue to the next waypoint.

You can navigate in this mission by following the Mission Compass and Mission Pointer. For a more challenging experience, you can turn the Mission Compass and Mission Pointer off (press U).
